Clinical Philosophy

Since opening Davis Orthodontics in 2008, Dr. Buddy has focused on delivering high-tech care in an environment that’s approachable, friendly, and fun. His passion lies in using orthodontics to change lives by giving people the confidence to smile, speak, and show up fully as themselves. Dr. Buddy leads with empathy and prioritizes great communication with every patient. He’s also deeply invested in innovation, offering cutting-edge tools like iTero scanning, virtual monitoring, and in-house 3D printing to improve the orthodontic experience.

Education & Training

Dr. Buddy Davis is a board-certified orthodontist and founder of Davis Orthodontics. He graduated cum laude from Furman University with a degree in Health and Exercise Science, then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Louisville. During dental school, he was inducted into both the Delphi Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident and earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Teaching & Community Involvement

A lifelong learner, Dr. Buddy participates in continuing education at both local and national levels. He teaches the next generation of orthodontists as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He also attends many continuing education meetings and events throughout the year to stay at the forefront of orthodontic innovations.

Outside the Office

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Dr. Buddy now lives in Greenville, SC with his wife, Sarah-Ann, and their four kids: Trey, Mary-Claire, Anna-Bea, and William. He enjoys family time, golf, tennis, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles. While the office vibe is lighthearted—theme days and all—he takes his responsibility to deliver excellent care seriously.

With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Davis leads with a passion for innovation and a dedication to creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. His use of cutting-edge technology like digital scanning and virtual dental monitoring ensures top-tier care, while his community-first mindset shapes the culture of the practice.

Dr. Rachel Bayles

Dr. Rachel Bayles brings a warm, attentive presence to every patient interaction. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training at Indiana University, earning both a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

After several years in the Midwest, Dr. Bayles is happy to be back in the South and part of a practice that values relationships as much as results. She enjoys helping patients of all ages feel confident about their treatment and their smile. Outside the office, you can find her hanging out with her nephews and her dog, Zero, cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies, or rewatching her favorite Marvel movies.

With a background in biomedical engineering and a love for problem-solving, Dr. Alise Senderak brings a unique perspective to orthodontic care. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, then completed dental school at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She went on to complete her orthodontic residency in Atlanta, GA, specializing in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Senderak is passionate about providing care that’s both clinically advanced and genuinely compassionate. She loves seeing the transformation in her patients—not just in their smiles, but in their confidence. Now based in Greenville, she enjoys exploring the Upstate with her partner Zach and their dog, Snead. In her downtime, you’ll likely find her outdoors hiking, golfing, or trying new local restaurants.

Dr. Marc Dager

Dr. Marc Dager brings nearly two decades of experience to Davis Orthodontics, where he leads the Spartanburg office with expertise and kindness. A native of Indiana, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, followed by dental school at the University of Louisville and a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Michigan. He’s a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of several national dental organizations.

Dr. Dager is passionate about creating life-changing smiles and helping patients go from hiding their teeth to smiling with pride. He lives in Inman, SC with his wife, Kelly, and enjoys lake life, college football (Go Irish!), playing guitar, and restoring classic cars. Patients appreciate his calm demeanor, detailed approach, and genuine care.

Our friendly team will greet you, help you complete any paperwork, and guide you through what to expect during your appointment.

Photos and digital imaging

We’ll take high-quality digital x-rays and photos so your doctor can fully assess your needs and map out the best possible treatment options.

Doctor consultation

You’ll meet with one of our board-certified orthodontists to review your scans, ask questions, and discuss a personalized plan tailored to your smile goals. We'll also review your payment options so you can feel confident about moving forward with treatment.

Same-day start (if you’re ready!)

If you’re ready to move forward, we often offer same-day treatment so you can save time and begin your transformation right away.

Say goodbye to goopy, uncomfortable impressions. Our iTero scanner creates a detailed 3D image of your teeth in just minutes—no mess, no stress. These scans allow us to plan treatment with precision, show you digital simulations of your future smile, and get your aligners or appliances made faster.

Dental Monitoring app

Want to check in with your doctor without coming into the office? Dental Monitoring lets you to do just that. Using your phone, you can send secure images of your teeth and get real-time feedback from your orthodontist on a weekly basis. These check-ins are more frequent than traditional orthodontic protocols, allowing us to catch issues early, saving time and keeping your treatment on track no matter how busy your schedule gets.

In-house 3D printing

We make custom retainers and orthodontic appliances right here in our office with advanced 3D printers. This gives us more control over the fit and quality—and helps you avoid long wait times if you lose or damage your retainer.

Custom braces

We’re proud to offer custom braces that are designed just for your smile. Using advanced digital planning and patient-specific brackets, this system allows for more efficient movement, shorter treatment times, and fewer adjustments than traditional braces.
