A: We recommend wearing your Invisalign aligners for about 22 hours per day for the best results. You’ll take them out to eat and brush and floss your teeth. Every one to two weeks, depending on your needs, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners.

A: Yup! Invisalign Teen is made especially for growing mouths and has special features like compliance indicators and eruption tabs that account for developing teeth. There are also some free replacement aligners included in the system, which is a big plus for parents. We’ve achieved outstanding results on our younger patients using Invisalign.

A: There are zero food restrictions with Invisalign since you’ll take your aligners out when you eat. You can still enjoy all of your favorites!

A: We don’t recommend smoking at all and you definitely should avoid smoking while wearing your aligners since the nicotine will cause discoloration and then your treatment will no longer be invisible.

A: You can chew gum if you take your aligners out. Keep in mind though that you need to wear them for 22 hours a day, so don’t leave them out too long.

A: You can purchase an Invisalign cleaning system but the easiest way to keep your aligners fresh and sparkling is to simply brush them with a toothbrush and a bit of toothpaste and rinse them in lukewarm water daily.
